On the device manager page you can see all of the devices connected to your home network and whether they are connected via WiFi or ethernet. 



Editing Devices


At the top of the screen you can see an "Edit" button. Clicking it will take you to this page.


Here you can input your bandwidth speeds. Clicking "Set bandwidth" on the Congestion Control page will also take you here.


You can rename any device just by typing in the box. It will save automatically. 


You can change/choose the category the device is in. You have the following options:


  • General Purpose
  • Game Console
  • Phone
  • Printer
  • Tablet
  • Laptop

This is a purely cosmetic change. Any page that shows devices e.g. Host filtering, hyper traffic, network monitor etc will show the device as the category you set it as.

You can see whether it is currently connected via wireless, wired or if it's dormant (not currently using the internet).


You can choose to delete a device or block it's internet access. If you delete a device it will disappear from the list. If it is blocked the device will appear with a red "X" over it.

Blue Box


You may or may not see a blue box as well. This blue box is not an error or anything to worry about. 


If you see this blue box it means you are connected behind a router as opposed to a modem. 

If you have a modem you will not see the blue box. 


If you do have a blue box you may not achieve an Open NAT online. You will need to enable modem mode on your ISP router or input the WAN IP shown below the blue box into the DMZ section of your ISP router (usually the one provided by your Internet Service Provider). It is usually found in the Security/Firewall settings of the router. Go here for more information on opening your NAT. 


Below the blue box, you will see your WAN IP. If you are connected to a router, this will be the IP address assigned to the NETDUMA by your router. If you are connected to a modem, this is your external IP Address.


Devices


You can see all of the devices that are currently connected to your network. They have lines going from them to the picture of the router. Which also shows the speeds you have told the router you have.


  • Dashed lines show devices that are connected via wireless.
  • Solid lines show devices that are connect via ethernet.
  • No lines means the device is not currently connected. 

You can also see the local IP addresses of each device.

If as above on your device manager you see a "nameless" or "unnamed" device this means the router could not detect what the device is. Utilise the local IP and match it to one of the devices in your home, you can then change the name of this device in the edit section.
