This guide will assume you have read the Getting started with the Network Monitor Guide.
Network Monitor Graph Settings
Above the network monitor graphs, you have three options:
- Pause - This allows you to pause the graph, and stop it moving which gives you time to analyse it.
Refresh - This option allows you to change the frequency that the graph plots a point. For example, you can change it so instead of updating every second, it updates every 5s, 10s, 30s, 1 mins, 5 mins or 10 mins.
Units - This allows you to change the units that the graph is displayed in. You can choose from: bits, bytes or binary bytes.
The pie chart gives you more in depth information about what exactly your devices are doing. For example it will detect Xbox live, Playstation service etc.
If it doesn't give a service it will show the ports that the device is using. This provides you with information to be able to port forward, detect unauthorised applications using the internet etc.
